چکیده

Aim: Salt stress adversely affects plant growth and development. Various mitigating strategies have been employed to enhance the adaptability of plants salt stress. The present study was conducted with objective evaluating recently developed CO55 rice variety's ability withstand salt-induced during seedling growth. This evaluation included foliar spraying promoting substances like melatonin, salicylic acid, silicon, selenium, along identification effective growth-promoting that exhibit tolerance salinity. is required develop salt-tolerant varieties capable withstanding salinity stage. stage more susceptible salinity, also increase yield rice, thereby satisfying country's agricultural needs.
 Study Design: Completely randomized design.
Place Duration Study: Department Crop Physiology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore; March-April 2023.
Methodology: In hydroponics experiment, variety subjected various such as orthosilicic sodium selenate. Parameters leaf drying score, osmotic potential, adjustment, content, potassium Na+/K+ ratio were assessed. One-way ANOVA used analyze data.
Results: Specific pairwise differences between means assessed at 0.05 significance level using Fisher's least significant difference (LSD) test. Among treatments applied, acid recorded highest content (3.94%), lowest (2.60%) found in acid. On other hand, from standard it observed seedlings be tolerant when treated whereas under treatment.
Conclusion: Observations indicated application concentrations 50µM 100µM exhibited higher towards stages.

Effect of seed priming with selenium nanoparticles and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria on improving Quinoa seedling growth under salinity stress

Soil and water salinity are the most important problems that limit crop production, especially in the arid and semi-arid regions. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of growth-promoting bacteria and selenium nanoparticle pretreatment on increasing the tolerance of the Chenopodium quinoa plant to salinity. A factorial experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with...

Effect of Co-Application of Auxin-Producing Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria and Tryptophan on Wheat Growth under Water Stress Conditions

Auxin produced by plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPR) in the wheat rhizosphere, can improve plant yield under water deficit stress condition. To investigate this issue, a completely randomized factorial design with three replications was conducted under greenhouse condition at the University of Maragheh, Eastern-Azarbayjan, Iran during 2019. Treatments were two types of growth-promoting bact...
